Citizens crowdsourcing at local level

EUCROWD project workshop was organized as a part of event “Smart city Koper and digital services tailored to local residents”. The workshop, that took place in Youth Centre of Koper, aimed at raising awareness among young people on using crowdsourcing in local decision-making in Slovenia.

The workshop started with introducing crowdsourcing concept and its main features. Three cases followed presenting possibilities of using digital platforms for crowdsourcing local residents in fixing urban problems in cities (Celje, Maribor) and planning local municipality budget (Ajdovščina). Presentation also referred to international attempts such as using crowdsourcing in reforming Iceland’s constitution and planning the future of the Australian city of Melbourne.
